Sarah Palin is NOT Hillary Clinton HomeThis is a featured page

What does a VP do every day?Welcome to the Sarah Palin is NOT Hillary Clinton Wiki. This page is an extension of the Facebook group of the same name, which has grown to over 11,400 members, a collection of women and men of all ages and political orientations insulted and alarmed by John McCain's selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. The platform of the group is below - click here to join the group and be sure to check out what people are saying and thinking on The Wall and discussion boards.

Also, check out our Cafe Press store for all your anti McCain/Palin gear - all proceeds go to Emily's List, an organization that supports pro-choice, pro-women candidates running for office.

This site will house all of the links to articles, blogs, videos, and other media related to McCain's selection of Palin. Please feel free to add your own, with a brief description of the article, it's source, and it's author, in the appropriate category.

Let's make this clear - this group's purpose is not to beat up on Sarah Palin. It is a historic victory for ALL women that Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska, has become the first woman to ever appear on a Republican presidential ticket. The United States of America is always to benefit from another female voice in the national political debate, and Sarah Palin has just as much right to be wrong on a wide range of issues, from abortion rights to the environment to same-sex marriage, as any male politician.

HOWEVER, just because Sarah Palin is a woman does not mean her policies and politics are good for women. In fact, she fits in quite well with More of the Same McCain and the neo-conservative base of the Republican party.
Sarah Palin and Big, Dead Bear
Sarah Palin is anti-choice and a member of the anti-choice Feminists for Life, opposed to gay marriage, in favor of capital punishment, a card carrying member of the NRA, in favor of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and a favorite of Rush Limbaugh himself. This is not change - it's just more of the same.

John McCain obviously thinks American women are stupid - that women are interchangeable and that they vote on the basis of sexual anatomy alone. His pick is more tokenizing and sexism from the Republican Party. We want a president and vice president who offer more than failed policies and empty promises.

Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden both have solid records on the issues that are important to American women; they are both solidly pro-choice, they support equal pay and responsible sex education, and environmental legislation that will protect our children from big oil companies. There is only one ticket that stands up for American men and women this election season: Obama/Biden 08.

It is sad that people don't know much about anything. Palin is the "new breed" of Republican. Definately different from Bush and McCain. And no she is not Hillary, and thank God of that. Grow up and not be jealous of an attractive successful woman. I am a Southern Republican and I can support Palin before Obama. Both have minimal experience. We will see what happens. I hope for American's sake, everyone didnt buy into the biggest mistake of the country. Only time will tell.

OH here we are again she said nucellear! Idiot. More importantly she had the same pad answer for each question surrounding the issues of war and Israel. Most concerning was that she tried to BS her way through the Bush Doctrine instead of asking Charlie Gibon exactly what he meant by that phrase.

I have NOTHING in common with Palin other than I am a women. And if this is the basis for me wanting to vote for her, changing my sex looks really appealing!
